Inverter power run back to main DB as well as the Sub DB.

Lithium-ion battery to inverter connection and fitting of isolator and DC fuses.

Supply cable run to inverter and protection device installed in existing main Distribution Board (DB).

Inverter power run to main switch, surge protection, change over switch and protection devices inside the DB.

With proper care and maintenance, lithium batteries are designed to last for around 10-15 years.

A battery is a device that stores electricity. Solar batteries need solar panels to work efficiently. A battery’s purpose is to save you money on your energy bills. The way in which it does this is by charging overnight. This power is then stored. During the day and during peak electricity time, the stored energy is released.

A battery cannot work on its own. It will need to be connected to another device, an inverter.

An inverter converts DC electricity into AC electricity. Direct Current (DC) is what we get out of batteries and solar panels. To connect your battery or solar panel to the main electricity grid, DC electricity will need to be converted into AC electricity (Alternating Current allows for the transmission of power across long distances) – this is done via an inverter.
